Improve your ability to understand your Census. Long Term Care is a census driven business and we have the tools to improve your Census blend. Balancing the quality mix census can be difficult, but if goals are established and activity is closely monitored it can certainly improve the bottom line. The Census reporting system is a tool that allows you to establish census goals for your facility(s). The first step is to define a census budget by each facility as a whole and by each payer class. The Census Decision Support System then generates reports from actual activity and identifies the facility's census profit/(loss) impact.

Know the QM Factor
Is your facility targeting a census QM? The QM (Quality Mix) consists of profitable payers within a mix of your non-profitable payers. The Census Decision Support System allows you to set goals to obtain your QM factor so that your business can maintain a profit and not succumb to a loss. Below are a sample of the Reports...

Facility Flash Report allows you to monitor your facilities census numbers with your overall mix and quality mix for each facility, by region and by all facilities combined.

Census Budget Report provides a view of each facility's Average Daily Census (ADC) and budgeted daily census that is broken out by payers for each facility.Monthly Detail Census Report displays by facility the per day census with a Month-to-Date, Quarter-to-Date, and Year-to-Date averages which shows the facility's census performance levels.

Regional/Company Census Report reveals how facilities within a defined region or as a whole are meeting their census goals both on a overall and quality mix. This report exhibits MTD, QTD and YTD variances between actual and budget and inform you of potential gain or loss.

Monthly QM Management Report indicates each regions census and QM performance levels for any specified date range

Monthly Marketing Report displays facility inquiry, admission sources, denials and discharges by payer for any requested date range.

The Trend by Payor Report produces a line graph for each facility of admission, discharge and inquiry activity for each month. For example, if the graph shows a decline in inquiries and an increase in discharges over a period of time, it can warn the facility of a likely decrease in census activity. Better yet, the Census Decision Support System can help react to problems before they happen.
